The Thumb Swipers

Look up from your phone. Look away from your computer screen. Look out the window. Look up at the sky. What do you see? Life. Life going on without you because you’re too consumed by a piece of technology. Now, look back at the screen. We are the thumb swipers of this generation addicted to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, iPhones and getting immediate responses. We live in our own little bubble of he-said she-said and not paying attention to where we are walking or what is happening in the world around us. HELLO, LOOK UP FROM YOUR PHONE BECAUSE YOU ALMOST BUMPED INTO ME AND MY HOT CUP OF COFFEE. What happened to phone calls? Letters? Authenticity? It’s gone and has been replaced by a screen and generic, emotionless messages.

Music Choice: “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra. Lol, leave me alone! This song is so good!
