My very own favorite season exists between the realms of my real two favorite seasons: summer and autumn. The two or three weeks between the switch of seasons is my favorite season. It is the period of transition between hot summer nights to a crisp autumn morning. You notice a tree’s leaves aren’t as green as they used to be and the days are getting darker faster. It goes by unnoticed because it does not have a name, but the feeling is not quite autumn and long past summer. You can’t call it summer because it’s doesn’t feel like a stereotypical summer should, and you can’t call it fall because fall begins late September. So what do you call this short changing period of subtlety some notice only when it’s gone?
I call it my favorite season.
